Structure diagram of plastic flowmeter: It is mainly composed of a transparent plastic tapered tube installed vertically with the small end down and the big end up and the float that can move up and down in the tapered tube as the measuring element, together with nuts, nozzles, stoppers and "O" rings, etc. constitute. The float is static when the fluid flows from bottom to top in the conical tube, and the buoyancy and viscous forces are in balance. When the flow rate changes, the flow velocity of the fluid flowing through the annular gap between the conical tube and the float changes, and the float pressure difference changes accordingly, and the float moves up and down, so the height of the float's resting position can be used as a measure of flow.
Install
(1) Before installation, the smooth support in the instrument should be gently removed with needle-nose pliers and then re-installed. When installing, pay attention to whether the rubber ring is installed in the groove of the nozzle to prevent water leakage.
(2) The interface of the flowmeter can be connected with a matching ABS plastic pipe or a PVC plastic pipe with a special dehydration bonding connection, or it can also be connected with a metal flange after being connected by a plastic method.
(3) The flowmeter must be installed vertically, at precisely 90 degrees. The installation height should be convenient for the reading of the float. When reading, the line of sight and the float should be level. (General standard: the optimal flow rate to be used is 50% to 70% of the maximum flow rate of the flowmeter, try not to use the highest number.)
(4) The upstream and downstream inlets of the device should ensure that there are straight pipe sections five times the diameter of the device.
(5) The fluid pressure to be measured must be stable. If the fluid pressure is unstable, the float will fluctuate and cannot be measured correctly. A buffer or a valuer should be installed upstream of the flowmeter.
